“The Game’s Afoot” or “Holmes for the Holidays” continues at Love Street Playhouse

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Love Street Playhouse, continues its 10th anniversary season with The Game’s Afoot, running through December 17. The veteran cast is led by Kevin Taylor as William Gillette. The Game’s Afoot is written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Love Street Playhouse Owner and Artistic Director Melinda Pallotta.

It is December 1936, and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow Broadway cast-members to his lavish Connecticut mansion for an elegant Christmas Eve dinner party and weekend of revelry. When one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in the isolated house quickly turn dangerous. As the gentle holiday snow quickly turns into a blizzard, it is up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears in this witty, suspenseful caper.

Remaining performances are Dec. 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance at or by calling 360-907-9996. Love Street Playhouse is located at 126 Loves Ave. in Woodland.
