Donations sought for NW Natural’s Gas Assistance Program

Friday, December 1, 2017

The next season of NW Natural’s Gas Assistance Program (GAP) is now underway and will run through Aug. 31, 2018. NW Natural shareholders will match the first $60,000 in contributions to GAP. NW Natural also covers all administrative costs, which means every cent given goes directly to people in need. The funds are distributed through community action networks, which screens all low-income recipients. The last giving period ran from Sept. 1 2016 through Sept. 1, 2017, and included gifts from customers and shareholders that totaled $165,000. To make a tax-deductible donation, visit United Way or mail a check to: Gas Assistance Program, 619 SW 11th Ave., Room 300, Portland, OR, 97205. Donations may also be dropped of at Clark Public Utilities, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way.
