Fundraising workshop June 28

The Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington is hosting a fundraising workshop this Wednesday, June 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Clark County Food Bank, 6502 NE 47th Ave. Katie Howard, KH Consulting will present “Generosity & Gratitude: The Art of Joyful Fundraising.” Participants will leave with skills and tools to:

•  Design a fundraising plan that fits a budget
•  Put into practice the key to successfully unleashing resources
•  Integrating personal stories for support
•  Understand the “when” and “how” of making one-on-one “asks”
•  Activate board members in their fundraising role
•  Put gratitude into action

Registration For Nonprofit Network members is $58 with lunch included, or $48 for those that want to bring their own lunch. For nonmembers, registration is $78 with lunch or $68 without. Final call for volunteers for Independence Day at Fort Vancouver

independence-day-logoThe Fort Vancouver National Trust seeks volunteers for Independence Day at Fort Vancouver presented by Bank of America, on Tuesday, July 4. Individuals, service organizations, corporate groups and all others are encouraged to volunteer to help at the gates, work at information booths, help at the first aid station, or be a parking lot attendant. Potential volunteers can fill out an application online at 4th.fortvan.org/volunteer. On the application, volunteers may request certain jobs and shifts. For questions, contact Natalie Hantho at 360-992-1804 or email volunteer@fortvan.org. Volunteer shifts are just a few hours long, after a short training session prior to event day. All volunteers receive a parking pass, volunteer T-shirt, and reusable water bottle.

Port of Camas-Washougal announces Riverside Concert Series

The Port of Camas-Washougal has revealed its 16th annual concert series lineup, planned for Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4 and Saturday, Aug. 12, at Marina Park, 24 South A St, Washougal.

On July 4, festivities begin at 4 p.m. with children’s activities, beer garden and food vendors. Concerts and dancing start at 6 p.m. with We Three, followed by 5 Guys Named Moe from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Fireworks start shortly after.

The series continues with a more adult focussed evening on Saturday, Aug. 12. King Louie & LaRhonda Steele open from  6 to 7 p.m.; headliners are Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts, performing from 8 to 9:30 p.m.
