LSW Architects has added three new members to its team. Shara Wokal joins the administrative team as Chief Financial Officer. She brings a wealth of experience in leadership positions from marketing, IT services, and manufacturing industries. Evelini Downs, interior designer, has 11 years of experience in high-end residential and hospitality design in New York City and the greater Portland area. Shannon Carlton comes to LSW with five years of freelance photography experience. She will expand LSW’s services through photography and video for projects, meetings, personnel, social media/website, and social events.

Vacancy on the Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board

Deputy County Manager Bob Stevens is seeking applicants for an open position on the volunteer Animal Protection and Control Advisory Board. The position is for someone who owns a dog and lives anywhere in Clark County. PeaceHealth congratulates four PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center nurses named by the March of Dimes as Oregon and Southwest Washington 2017 Nurses of the Year.  The four PeaceHealth Southwest March of Dimes Nurse of the Year winners are:

Distinguished Nurse of the Year Award: Gail Weeks, RN, Cancer Center
2017 Rising Star Award: Kelsey Sudenga, RN, Surgery
Adult Acute Care Award: Irina Kolychev, RN, Medical-Surgical
Critical Care (Adult) Award: Teresa Chamberlain, RN

Clark County Public Health announces Community Award recipient

Clark County Board of Health recognized Battle Ground HealthCare’s Executive Director, Sue Neal, with a 2017 Clark County Public Health Community award for her commitment as a leader in public health services. As the Executive Director of the non-profit, Neal has worked to address and expand free healthcare services to the hurting and hopeless in the community who struggle with chronic health issues. Under Neal’s dedicated guidance, Battle Ground HealthCare has opened up new programs, such as the recently added Rehabilitation Services, which expands the clinic’s role in helping those who are underserved and underinsured in north Clark County.
