The Clark County Historical Museum will unveil a special exhibit featuring the Brautigan Library Collection at First Thursday Museum After Hours, from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Oct. 7, at the Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver.

Denise Smith named leader of Leadership Clark County

Today, Leadership Clark County (LCC) announced the appointment of Denise Smith to the position of executive director. Smith comes to LCC from the environmental nonprofit SOLV, where she served as business relations & marketing manager.

Brain expert to speak at Waterford

Robert G. Winningham will be at The Waterford in Vancouver Saturday, Oct. 9, for a public lunch and presentation titled “Train Your Brain: How We Can Maintain or Even Improve Our Memory Abilities.”

The event is from noon to 2:30 p.m. at Waterford at Fairway Village, 2911 S.E. Village Loop in East Vancouver. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at Waterford Health & Fitness Club or by calling 360-433-6400. Seating is limited, and tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
