June 24 Grand Re-Opening of Wellness Center planned Community Services Northwest will host an Open House at the CSNW Wellness Center, located at 317 East 39th Street, Vancouver, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24. There will be a ribbon cutting and short ceremony at 4 p.m. Tours of the facility will follow and light refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public. The renovation of The Wellness Center was made possible through funding from the city of Vancouver and Clark County. The Wellness Center houses several CSNW programs including The Wellness Project, eight housing programs, homeless services, addiction recovery services and community sobriety groups. The extensive renovation of this CSNW facility will increase capacity in all of the programs housed there, and in particular it will allow The Wellness Project to serve more clients. The Wellness Project is the only free mental health clinic in our community and it is designed to provide mental health services to Clark County residents who are uninsured, or who otherwise lack insurance for mental health services. Mental health services offered at the Wellness Project are provided by volunteers who are either licensed counselors, registered counselors, or master’s-level student counselors under the direct supervision of community mental health professionals and CSNW staff.
