Lane closures on I-205 Bridge this weekend

Lane closures on Interstate 205 continue this weekend. The work is weather-dependent; part of a schedule of planned closures occurring every weekend through September. Starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight, one northbound lane will be closed. The two-lane closure starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. Monday, May 17. The left two lanes will remain open.

ODOT encourages travelers to consider using the Interstate Bridge on Interstate 5 as an alternate route. Those using the Glenn Jackson Bridge can expect variable traffic congestion in the area and should plan for extra time when heading northbound this weekend. Use http://www.tripcheck.com or call 511 for the latest traffic conditions. The I-205 multi-use path will remain open during the work, but pedestrians and cyclists may encounter some narrowing of the path.
