Fellene Gaylord, graphic artist and web designer, has joined the JD White Co. as a senior public involvement project manager/graphic design. Gaylord, who worked for the Oregon Health Sciences University and TriMet, has won awards for her work with TriMet. She helped create online materials for TriMet, the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, Bike Commute Challenge and OHSU’s Women’s Health Conference. Gaylord, a graduate of Portland State University, is a member of the Internet Professionals NW Multimedia Developers Group. Bravo! Vancouver presenting In celebration of the 250th anniversary year of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Bravo! Vancouver presents an all-Mozart concert, “Happy Birthday Amadeus” at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 S Andresen Boulevard. The concert features two nationally known soloists, bassoonist Ann Kosanovic-Brown and flutist Tessa Brinckman. Kosanovic-Brown was the first female flutist to perform with the Berlin Philharmonic under Herbert Von Karajan. She has played principal bassoon with the Seattle Symphony and has performed with the Oregon Symphony. New Zealand flutist Brinckman has also played with the Portland Symphony and is the principal flutist with Bravo! Vancouver. Concertgoers will share a giant birthday cake at intermission. For further information, call 695-1566. People State Rep. Deb Wallace (D-17th) has been presented the Woman-of-the-Year Award by the Portland Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. The award was based on Wallace’s leadership work in pursuing regional transportation solutions. Wallace, who is the vice chair of the House Transportation Committee, has worked previously as director of Planning and Development for C-TRAN and Growth Management and Development Services manager for the state Department of Transportation. n Clark County auditor Greg Kimsey has been named Auditor-of-the-Year by Secretary of State Sam Reed. Kimsey’s accomplishments over the past year include developing web portals to improve customer service and voter outreach, and his successful series of town hall meetings to discuss the county’s new voting system. News briefs With the recent addition of Lacamas Glass & Mirror Inc., the Building Industry Association of Clark County has become a 1,000-member organization for the first time. The BIA of Clark County is the fourth largest local association affiliated with the BIA of Washington, according to local president Ken Winkleman. The 35-year-old organization, best known for its annual Parade of Homes, lobbies on behalf of the building industry in southwest Washington. According to Winkleman, the organization has increased by 100 members since January. n Columbia Credit Union members interested in serving on the board of directors must submit candidate packets by Monday, May 22, reports Colleen Bocia, senior vice president of Marketing and Strategic Planning. Packets may be downloaded by going to www.columbiacu.org and may also be secured by calling 891-4000. Columbia Credit Union, which serves 60,000 members, has over $700 million in assets.
