The largest plant sale in the Vancouver Portland metropolitan area is one of the main draws of the annual Home & Garden Idea Fair presented by Clark Public Utilities at the county fairgrounds this weekend. In addition to the huge plant sale, scores of vendors have displays along the midway and in the giant Exposition Hall. Other activities include workshops and presentations from such names in the gardening world as Ed Hume, Dulcy Mahar, and Robb Rosser. Environmental and energy-savings exhibits and workshops abound. Admission is free, but parking is $5 per vehicle. Free bus service is provided from both C-TRAN’s Salmon Creek Park and Ride and the Westfield Vancouver Mall transit station. It is suggested that fairgoers may want to contribute canned food goods for area food banks or make a monetary contribution to the utility’s Operation Warm Heart, which helps subsidize electric bills for low-income customers. The fair is open until 8 p.m. this evening and between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, April 29, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 30. Four posters from nearly
