Columbia River Crossing Project
schedules April open houses

To provide to and get feedback from the general public, the Columbia River Project has scheduled two open houses in Vancouver and Portland in mid-April. The three-hour open houses also offer children’s entertainment in an effort to broaden the organization’s audience.

The Vancouver open house is at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, in Hudson’s Bay High School. 1206 E Reserve Street. The Portland open house is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, in the Red Lion Inn Jantzen Beach, 909 N Hayden Island Drive.

The Columbia River Crossing Project is sponsored jointly by the Washington and Oregon Departments of Transportation. The bi-state organization’s focus is on improving a five-mile stretch of Interstate 5 between Highway 500 in Vancouver and Columbia Boulevard in Portland.

The organization is studying how to fix that I-5 corridor, which includes the Interstate 5 bridges. The studies do not extend to any other Columbia River bridge crossings.

Further information is available at the Columbia River Crossing website at www.columbiarivercrossing.org.
