More rumbles and dips on I-5
to be removed this summer

ACME Concrete Paving Inc., Spokane, has been awarded a $6.8 million contract to strengthen the concrete pavement on I-5 between I-205 on the south and the Lewis River Bridge just south of Woodland.

The work of replacing concrete panels and installing dowel bars between panels will begin in the spring. The project also involves grinding ruts in the pavement surface to provide a smoother ride.

During the spring and summer project, motorists can expect some daytime and nighttime lane closures in both directions and reduced speed limits in work zones.

Restaurant health scores
now available on line

Curious about at which restaurant you might find a glass of wine with lipstick on the rim?

The Clark County Health Department is making it easier for restaurant-goers check on the potential cleanliness of the more than 1,500 restaurants and food service establishments in the county by listing food inspection results on line.

Depending on the complexity of their food service, food purveyors get one to three, or even more unannounced inspections annually, according to Health Department director John Wiesman. According to Wieman, putting the results of restaurant inspections on the Web will provide added safeguards by encouraging preventive actions by both the food industry and by consumers.

Health inspection results, by restaurant, can be obtained by going to http://www.clark.wa.gov/health/environmental/food/
inspections/query.html
, and then typing in the name of the food establishment.
