The newsletter has been linked to the Washington State Department of Transportation Website for the past two years. Over the past two years the Vancouver Area Smart Trek partners have been working on a unified bi-state, one-stop place for the public to get traveler information on the Web. With the partnership with the Oregon State Department of Transportation, traffic cameras throughout the bi-state area are available on the Website. The Website also contains an enormous amount of additional traffic information, including a listing of road closures, construction impacts and other occurrences affecting traffic in real time. In addition, traffic flow maps of highways in both states show users how traffic is moving in real time throughout the metropolitan area. Vancouver Area Smart Trek partners is a regional intelligent transportation system initiative developed as a cooperative effort by public transportation agencies in Clark County, led by the Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council, Vancouver, Camas, Clark County, the Port of Vancouver and C-TRAN, in addition to WSDOT and ODOT. The new dynamic Webpage is at www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/vancouver.
