Donna Overman selected SWMC physician
recruitment and development director
Donna
Overman has been appointed director of Physician Recruitment and
Development at Southwest Washington Medical Center.
Overman will report directly to
Gil Rodriguez, SWMC’s chief medical
officer. Rodriguez says that, in addition to recruitment efforts, Overman will
work with physicians and medical groups in the community to help plan to meet
the community’s needs for health care delivery in the future.
In recent years the medical center has
worked closely with physicians practices to help recruit 180 new physicians to
the community.
Overman most recently was director of
human resources and physician recruitment and retention for Pacific Medical
Group, a five-clinic care practice with 35 physicians in Oregon.
SWMC, southern Washington’s largest
employer with over 3,200 on the payroll, is served by 520 medical staff members,
who support 32 different medical specialty services in programs, focused on
cancer, heart, emergency, trauma, neuro-musculoskeletal, family birth and
primary care.

percent, when the electric utility signed up 4,011 customers. Through Aug. 31,
this year Clark’s residential customer base has grown by 2,937 families.
